PGDLIM: Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Library and Information Management
Dear All, Greetings and apologies for cross postings! Sir Dorabji Tata Memorial Library, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai is happy to announce admissions to the programme "Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Library and Information Management" for the year 2011-12. This is a one year, two semester dual mode programme which uses contact classes as well as online learning management system MOODLE. This programme is aimed at creating trained manpower to handle digital libraries and electronic resources. There is a burgeoning need for trained librarians in the light of national priorities like National Mission on Education through Information and Communication technology (NME-ICT) and National Knowledge Commission (NKC). This programme will equip librarians with skills of digital library and information management to play a bigger role in their organizations. Last date for submission of application is 27th May 2011.
