Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Library Science from reputed Institution with atleast three years experience as Librarian in any reputed research/education/academic organization, and must exhibit a substantial and progressively more responsible record of successful management and effective leadership in a research/academic organization library setting. Essential Qualities include an understanding of current issues in research/academic libraries, and strong oral and written communication skills. The successful candidate will be expected to work collegially and communicate effectively with the internal and external network. Candidates should also offer evidence of the ability to work cooperatively and build effective teams; a commitment to quality service; a vision and understanding of the evolving research library and its role within the mission of the CMS; the importance of staff development and renewal; and familiarity with the changing expectations of CMS Team.
