Discrimination to LIS subject in SLET, karnataka
Dear professionals, I bring to your kind notice that, recently Kuvempu University, Shimoga has called for state Eligibility Test (SET) for several subjects, but our LIS subject is not called for. As we know last time in the year 2000 it was there but now it is discriminated why? day by day librarian/ asst.librarian are not required for the college and universites?. Recent fast some states have called for the same exams and there was our LIS subject but why not in karanata SET?. Hence, I request you all that, please discuss the issue with professionals and find the soulution faster. Dear Professionals,
Discrimination is everywhere. I had also put some question regarding the
same some days ago. I am in Industrial Library. Mostly here the librarian
is treated as a C Grade staff.
Not only that, in the school library the Minimum Qualification is
Bachelor in Lib. & Inf. Sc. They are paying you as TGT. But when they are
getting PGT in the same subject they are paying more than TGT. But if a
librarian joined with PG Degree. As far my knowledge the management of the
same school is not able to give you the salary or benefit as the PG Teacher.
I request our library professionals to think over it.
