Date: 20th November 2005 Time: 10 A.M Venue: The Karnataka State Central Public Library, Cubbon Park, Bangalore-560001 Dear all our beloved Professionals, We are planned to forms One State Level Librarians Association which included all category of Library Professionals. As we know now a day we have been facing several kind of problems, even done our work properly in all the way. Even we have some library association but those are not coming to solve our problems and failure to guide us to how to build up our all activities and Development. We have to find out solution for all our several kind of problems, we should have to discuss in-group means through association (strength). As we know now a day especially in academic field, how they are treating to librarians, what are all their restrictions and pressure on library professionals in academic institution. Why they should treat us like that? Even if we have P.G, M.phil, Ph.D. and other technical qualification. And one more thing is recent recruitment of P U College librarian, which has finished few days earlier. They have allowed only for B.Lib candidates. But if we see the P U College environment, they are recruiting only M.A, M Sc., M Com etc P G Holder for Lecturer Post but why they have to consider B.Lib for Librarian post. They should take the MLISc candidates for P U College Librarian Post and what is the pay scale variation between librarians and Lecturers. Why they are making like that? Shouldn’t we have rights to ask to have the equal position and other convents. For what purpose all those things happening like this? Is it democratic country? If it’s that, they must provide. It should be look to all on equality basis. If we are not asked we shouldn’t have anything. We should ask and get. Otherwise we can get by do the terrible strike and struggle. So that dear all professionals please come and join and make the association for that. If sit silently without asking anything we never get anything forever. Not only these problems plenteous are there. Who are enthusiasiastics in our field please come ahead and get the volunteer support from already who have notified more than 200 professionals ready to give the support otherwise let us move ahead with your support. According to 13th November 2005 meeting more than 500 to 600 professionals are coming to attend the forum on November 20th, 2005 in Bangalore as mentioned above schedule. And additional intention of this association is going to start seminar, lecturing, training, personality development, placement for new comers and others of library professional degree holder and other needed activities for all our professionals by excellent coaches. Like this type of several programs are going to start after form the Association. Please dispatch this information to all our friends and professionals as a volunteer organizer of the association.
