An Walk-in-interview for recruitment of one Trainee on purely temporary basis to work in the Library will be conducted on 29 August 2017 at 11-30 am. in the Conference Room of the Library (1st floor) of Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. Qualification 1st Class Master Degree in Library and Information Science with Bachelor Degree (under 10+2+3 system). Candidate with knowledge of MARC21, DSpace and Koha will be given preference. Scope Training will be provided in practical library and information works with emphasis on Koha, DSpace & LINUX. The selected candidate will also get the opportunities to work in different sections of the Library. Tenure of appointment The tenure of appointment initially will be up to 31 March 2018 which may be extended / terminated subject to availability of fund and depending on the performance of the candidate.
