Dear Sir/Madam, Hope Mr. Pardeep Rai has not undergone and understood what the point has been raised by Mr.Gopakumar Velayudhanpillai regarding the Issues faced by Librarians and ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (APIs) AND PROPOSED SCORES DEVELOPED BY UGC can get through Internet. Basically many librarians are undergoing and implementing/maintaining the scores for thier track records or for the NAAC purpose on available circumstances. But Most of the Government Degree colleges lag to fullfill the above aspects in various states. [?] We Many professional colleagues had discussed par to the issues raised by Mr.Gopakumarji and Drawn a conclusions and taken a support of Dept of LIS to affiliated universities, Academic Staff Colleges and submitted memorandum to Department of Higher Education, Karnataka through Karnataka College Librarians Association(KSCLA) to give an opportunity to include the syllabus in degree colleges, as we came to know that In karnataka State Physical Directors are eligible to teach Yogic Science etc subjects related in Degree colleges and it has been passed in session officially recently in karnataka. So many professional colleagues in our karnataka state are teaching Information Literacy In Many Colleges affiliated to Universities in Karnataka as a part but failed to include officially through total approach and facing difficulties in approach on govt level?. But this is Right time to approach HRD/Higher Education in different states to include librarians in teaching activities as it will help their professional growth and subject cum curriculum towards PM concept Digital India. Librarians are removed from Minor/Major projects, Hope in future if we wont raise the issues collectively one layman can handle the library(What everbody is thinking in each State from past Days)?. In many Govt Degree colleges Librarians are running one-Man Show as the college strength may be 1000/2000/3000/ upto 7000. How the service is given and how the user is satisfied?All duties has been handled by librarians as we achieved same Eligibility criterias and Qualifications as other Teaching professional friends in various subjects. Hope we can work collectively through forums and many our senior most librarians and professional colleagues who amongst facing the problems and to overcome these problems can suggest, so that we can raise this issues to higher level in each states towards government and Central government for the professional benefits. Finally Librarians and professional colleagues who are in top level can give us solution and help to make it success in govt level and Re-Birth to Library professionals.
