Dear all, Compact storage of less used books which cannot be altogether discarded and even the stacking of grey literature is posing a problem of decision making with many of us librarians. 'Optimizers' are compact storage system mounted on iron rails which saves lot of space and provides possibility of storing large number of books, etc scientifically. Godrej appliances has a range of options which may meet once requirement. Initial cost-wise investment is a bit daunting but if the management has a futuristic outlook the investment is worthy of consideration. In our library, the management has recently approved the purchase of one such Compact storage systems for close filing of Manuscripts. Regards Dr. T.
