Dear Professional Colleagues, I need some clarification with respect to UGC - Career Advancement Scheme(CAS) guidelines for Librarians.Under CAS promotions for Assistant Librarian (Rs.15600-39100+ AGP 8000), one of the clause says, "*attended two refresher courses for a minimum period of 3 to 4 week duration during the assessment period*". Mostly Refresher courses are designed for 2 or 3 weeks only. Does the clause infer that a total of 3 to 4 week training should be attended OR a total of 6 to 8 week training should be attended during the assessment period? Can One week short term courses / Faculty Development Programmes also can be accounted for assessment? Kindly enlighten me on the above topic with your experiences. Thanks and Regards V.Lalitha Asst.
