dear all, Computers and the Internet can connect people to crucial information that can improve health, education, and employment opportunities. Unfortunately, the vast majority of the world's population—more than 87 percent, or 5.5 billion people—lack access to these powerful, modern tools. Gates Foundation's Global Libraries initiative forms partnerships with select developing countries to provide free public access to information technology. It also presents an annual Access to Learning Award for innovation to a library outside the United States. With its partners, the Global Libraries program is helping to improve the services of public libraries in these selected countries. learn more at :http://www.gatesfoundation.org/GlobalDevelopment/GlobalLibraries Shri Ram Pandey Information and Knowledge Management Trainee NCSI,Indian Institute Of Science,Bangalore -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.
