This award will be given away in eight major scientific disciplines : Biological Sciences :Chemistry :Earth & Oceanographic Sciences : Engineering : Mathematics : Medicine : Physics :Social Sciences We are extremely happy to be inviting nominations from your institution to be considered for this award. The award carries a plaque and a cash award of at least Rs. 50,000. The criteria for award selection are as follows: * Must be an Indian citizen and not be over 40 years of age as of 31.12.2006 * No. of Papers published in peer-reviewed (Indian & foreign) journals will only be considered * No. of Citations received * No. of Patents filed The selection committee will consist of subject experts in the eight areas.
