The LIS professionals in Bangalore are specially invited to join the program in person. The legacy citation databases evolved during the time technology was primitive. They indexed the cited references without the context. For the context of the citation and to determine the intent with which they are cited, the readers had to access full text of the articles separately and read through the article. Eugene Garfield realized this limitation and envisioned the idea of citation marker to classify the cited references based on the context of their citation. This was beyond the technology of his times, and until recently. Scite.AI, a major technological break-through in the citation database domain, fulfills this vision of Garfield by using AI based Machine Learning (ML) and deep-learning techniques. Besides finding out how many publications have cited his paper; a researcher can look at the context in which the citing authors have cited his paper and the intent of citing that paper. The intent of citing in a context is indicated by classifying the cited references based on the contextual information and using three tags: (a) supporting the views of citing paper; (b) disagreeing/contrasting with the vies of citing paper; (c) mere citing.
