Information Resource Centre (IRC) at Hyderabad

To support its fast expanding information services network, TCS invites
applications from talented, enthusiastic team players for the post of ?IRC
Assistant Manager? or ?IRC Senior Executive?, for its IRC at Hyderabad.
This is regular position and selected candidates should be prepared to
work in Hyderabad on a long-term basis. Remuneration and benefits will be
on par with the best in the industry. The selected candidate will report
to the Hyderabad IRC Head.
Number of Positions: One
Responsibilities:
? Market IRC services effectively to key user groups by linking IRC
offerings to their business needs.
? Perform traditional Library Management activities including
collection development, resource management, and providing alert services.
? Perform business information research and analysis, both
proactively and on request.
Eligibility and Requirements:
? M.L.I.S./Masters in (Library Science/Information
Science/Information Management)/A.D.I.S/any equivalent degree.
? 8 ? 14 years of experience in an academic/special library
(corporate library experience is desirable).
? Ability to apply existing and emerging technologies to new
initiatives and improve library services.
? Willingness to work in any centre within the city with flexible
timings.
? Ability to work both independently and in a team to deliver
results in a constantly changing environment.
? Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
without losing focus on quality.
? A team player with excellent communication skills, customer
service skills and analytical skills, capable of building good working
partnerships with user groups.

Selection Process:
Shortlisted candidates need to take a telephonic interview. Based on their
performance, select candidates will be called for a personal interview at
Hyderabad. Candidates called for personal interview will be reimbursed
travel cost (only return fare) by second class train/bus, only on the
production of valid tickets. The exact dates will be intimated to the
candidates separately. Only shortlisted candidates will be intimated about
their interviews. Note that applications with insufficient information and
those received after the final date will not be considered.
