Shri Ramananda was a well respected professional with proven credibility in the industrial information system development in India through his contributions in HMT. I vividly remember the DRTC Annual Seminars during  1970s, wherein his role was significant and highly visible – particularly the Seminar with the Theme 'Information Analysis and Consolidation' , wherein he had a solid contribution to project, based on his successfully operational systems and services launched by him at HMT. The then young professionals like me really got inspired on the possibilities of information for action in a real life environment!   We had a fleet of pioneering and committed LIS professionals in the country during those days.
