Dear Information Scientist, I want to take a initiative on design & develop the Institutional Repository but i have some queries to all expert and experienced on same, which as follows: 1. There is number of open source software for development of Institutional Repository which one is most users friendly 2. What is grantee for up-gradation of the software from source organization 3 Data Security / Permission on LAN or WAN Environment 4. What about the Copy Right Issue or Intellectual Property Right Issues 5. What skills are required to operate or customized the software 6. What type of infrastructure required / Preplanning for Hardware or software, scanner etc. 7. Which format should be used to save the data/ for easy search 8. Other technical aspect, we should keep in mind before starting. 9. Kindly mention the Role of the librarian/ Role of the faculty/ Role of the institute I am looking your valuable suggestions and advise on above points.
