Fw: Request to Publish on Various Forums
Dear Moderator I request you to put following text as "Call for Papers" for seminar on "Open Access to Textual and Multimedia Content: Bridging the Digital Divide"29th - 30th January, 2009 New Delhi Rajesh Call for Papers (As Posters) Authors are invited to submit their papers for poster presentation. You may submit the full-length paper along with an abstract. While abstract will be published in the proceedings, you will have an opportunity to present your paper as a poster in an hour-long poster session. Your poster may include graphs, photographs, and bulleted text. Authors would be required to stand next to their posters to give a short presentation and answer questions from the participants. Authors will, therefore, have opportunity to discuss their papers with interested participants on one-to-one basis. Suggestions for Poster Design: a.. It is said that "one picture is equivalent to one thousand words". The poster session offers you an opportunity to present your idea as a poster which may include photographs, graphs and bulleted text. a.. Your poster may highlight only important portion of your paper. It should encourage discussions and dialogue with participants. The better the quality of the poster, the higher the quality of the interactions. a.. The poster may be approximately 1 m x 0.5 m which is roughly equivalent to six A4 sheets. a.. The poster can be in a single large sheet or many sheets of A4 or other sizes, as long as the total size fits the poster board. a.. Poster should be a visual representation of your paper's textual information. Displaying only a copy of your paper on the poster will not be desirable. a.. Your poster should be aesthetically pleasing, attractive, colourful and legible. It should not be cluttered. The objective is to capture the attention of participants. As such include graphics, pictures and illustrations, avoid text, as far as possible. a.. Use glossy and heavy grade paper for poster. Note: Authors are NOT expected to bring the poster board and pushpins. Poster boards will be provided by the organizers at the conference venue. IMPORTANT: The posters will be arranged and secured to a poster board by the authors themselves at the meeting. Posters should be pinned-up before commencement of the poster session. Timings of the session will be announced well in time and authors will be given time to pin-up their posters Your Paper along with Posters should be submitted to Dr.Jagdish Arora(Director,INFLIBNET CENTRE),director@inflibnet.ac.in with copy to: yatrik@inflibnet.ac.in on or before 25/12/2008 -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.
