Dear All, Dear All, These days, there is a sharp decline in the number of students clearing UGC NET for JRF/Lectureship in Library and Information Science. In many Universities, not even a single candidate is qualified in many occassions. Is this because of the lack of quality of LIS education in India OR UGCs hard-line attitude towards this profession? It is a fact that job prospects our field, especially in the LIS teaching is not at all encouraging. In such a situation, Why UGC is enforcing strict rules to restrict the qualified candidates?
