In particular the poor visibility of scholarship in marginalized areas and the inadequate availability of academic material can benefit by harnessing available technologies. A globalized knowledge economy requires that these be employed,  adapting them to local conditions, and  *Scholars without Borders* has been making efforts in these directions.
