Stephen W. Hawking, a great scientist of our time who ranks with Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein, has left us. He has become an emblem of human determination and curiosity. His works spread through different areas like children's literature to nature of gravity and the origin of the universe. He was not only a path breaker in the world of science. Breaking down the walls of the so-called ivory tower of academia he took science to the people and inspired millions of our generation. His views and predictions on the way we treat our mother earth and research and development in Artificial Intelligence the most important warning to the world of science. We propose to publish the next issue of the journal ‘Informatics Studies’ as Stephen Hawking Remembrance Volume.   All are invited to contribute paper/article/remembrance/ review of work of Stephen Hawking to the remembrance volume.
