Classification on Ayurveda
Date: Fri, 9 May 2003 14:28:02 +0530 From: manish mankad <Manish.Mankad@unilever.com> Dear all, I wish to know if there is a separate classfication on Ayurveda.. DDC gives only one number and that is just not sufficient..or will it be sensible to create a new classification based on Allopathic class numbers after mapping the equivalents? although 100 percent mapping may not be possible. Hi, Yes,this is a relevant question.I think there should be seperate classification number for all Indian Systems of medicine,in which each items can be classified under that number.Definitely, mapping will not be helpful here. BTB, do you know that the patent for Ayurveda is going to Germany now, eventhough it is an Indian originated system of medicine?
