LAST DATE FOR RECEIVING APPLICATION - July 22, 2010 We are looking for young, qualified and dynamic library professionals for the Library of newly formed Indian Institute of Management at Ranchi. The position is purely on temporary basis for a period of six months. So people holding permanent position need not apply. The IIMR library is currently under the mentorship of IIM Calcutta. There will be ample opportunities for the young people to learn and/or to apply what they have already learned and thus contribute to the formation of a prestigious library. Depending on the availability of suitable candidates, we may fill one or both of these positions: 1. Senior Library Trainee – Candidates should have a good academic record with a Masters in Library & Information Science from a recognized university or MS in Library & Information Science from Indian Statistical Institute or Associateship in Information Science from NISCAIR. In addition, candidates should have 1-2 years of working experience in other libraries. Fluency in working with computers is an essential quality. Working knowledge of automation, LAN, Web technology will keep a candidate in advantageous position. Salary is negotiable. Out-stationed candidates called for interview will be paid to-and-fro second-class train fare from their respective current location to the place of interview which can be either Ranchi or Kolkata.
