KERALA LIBRARY ASSOCIATION (KLA) National Seminar on CONTENT MANAGEMENT AND LIBRARIES New Vistas for Harnessing Information Dates:14-16 July 2011 Venue: Padmam Auditorium Institute of Management in Government (IMG) Thiruvananthapuram 695 033, Kerala OBJECTIVES The rapid developments in the range and scope of CM Systems call for a systematic mapping and review, so as to optimize choice of more productive options. Within this framework, the major objectives of the Seminar have been formulated as: **To assess the status and examine the new trends in the information transfer processes in libraries with a view to ensure better deliverables through effective Content Management. **To help develop novel strategies for the efficient management of information in all its ramifications– traditional or digital, ensuring best practices to capture, manage, store, preserve and deliver. SESSIONS Sessions : Inaugural Session Business Sessions Valedictory Function Features : Keynote Address Invited Lectures / Lead Papers for every Session Poster Presentations Product Presentations Best Paper Awards (Excluding Invited Lectures) Release of Souvenir REGISTRATION FEE General : Rs. 1000.00 Concession Rate for KLA Life Members & Students : Rs. 750.00 SUBMISSION OF PAPERS AUTHOR GUIDELINES The Abstract and Paper should confirm the following guidelines: They should be double-spaced, A4 page size, 12 point font size, Times New Roman/Arial font type, 1 inch margin on top and bottom, in Word format. All illustrations, figures, and tables should be placed within the text at the appropriate points,with numbers and captions. Word limit Abstract: 250-300 words Paper: 2500-3000 words The Conference paper should consists of: Title of the paper, Name(s) of author/s, their Institution, city and E-mail id. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another conference for consideration.
