Centre for Library and Information Management Studies, Sir Dorabji Tata Memorial Library, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai is a major ​c​ entre involved in capacity building of LIS professionals. It offers PG Diploma, Masters and PhD Programmes in Library and Information Science with a focus on digital libraries, knowledge organization, e-Resources Management and web based information services. ​Being offered since 2010, this One Year dual mode programme is spread over two semesters and focus of providing hands on training on Digital Libraries (D Space, GSDL) , Library Automation (Koha) and Content Management Systems like Drupal. It uses contact classes for on-campus and Moodle e-learning platform for its off-campus sessions. It is aimed at creating trained manpower to handle digital libraries and electronic resources.
