MyDLIS Alumni Association Elects New Executive Committee

The Mysore University Information and Library Science Alumni Network (MILAN - Webpage: http://www.milan-mysore.org/ ) the Alumni Association of the Department of Library and Information Science (MyDLIS), University of Mysore, Mysuru, elected its new Executive Committee Members for the term 2021-2023 during the Annual General Body Meeting held in a Virtual Mode recently. Alumnus and Formerly Professor of MyDLIS, Dr. Shalini R. Urs, was elected as the President to lead the new team. The present Chairman of MyDLIS Dr. M. Chandrashekara is the Vice President and will be an Ex-Officio Member. The other officer bearers elected are Dr. B.M. Meera, Secretary and Formerly Librarian, Raman Research Institute, Bangalore; Dr. S. Nagaraja, Joint Secretary and Librarian, Regional Institute of Education (RIE), Mysore; Mr. B. Nandeesh, Treasurer and Asst. Library and Information Officer, All India Institute of Speech & Hearing, Mysuru. Dr. N. Chowdappa, Chief Librarian (Retd.), BMS College of Engineering, Bengaluru; Dr. Johnson David C., Chief Librarian, Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru; Dr. P.S. Mahesh, Chief Librarian (Retired), JJM Medical College, Davangere; Dr. B.S. Maheshwarappa, Formerly Professor of Library & Information Science, Gulbarga University; Sri Prakash B.P., Director, Library services, Ashoka University, Delhi-NCR Sonepat, Haryana; Dr. Rajendra Kumar, P.Y. Former National Librarian, National Library, Kolkata; Sri. Sathyanarayana N.V., Chairman & Managing Director, Informatics, Bengaluru; Dr. Sunil M.V., Head – Academic Administration,SDM Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD), Mysuru; Dr. M.L. Umesha, Assistant Librarian, National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Telangana; and Dr. Venkatesha, Library Project Assistant, Mysore University Library, UoM, Mysuru; are the other Members of the Executive Committee.
