Bits and Bytes Lecture Series: Innovative Practices to Market Library Services-Reminder

Title: Innovative Practices to Market Library Services SPEAKER: Mr. Dhanu Pattanashetti, BE, MLISc, IEEE Client Services/University Partnership Program Manager, IEEE. PLACE: Sarada Ranganathan Endowment for Library Science (SRELS), 702, 'Upstairs', 42nd Cross, III Block, Rajajinagar, Bangalore - 560 010 DATE & TIME: Friday October 09, 2015 at 6.15 p.m. Abstract: The highlights of the talk would be an overview of the technical tools and innovative practices one can adopt to promote the services, specifically the e-resources. The talk will also briefly highlight the services offered by the IEEE Librarians (Client Services) and its outcome. About Speaker: Dhanu Pattanashetti is the Client Services Manager at IEEE and is based out of Bangalore. Dhanu works with IEEE Xplore Digital Library customers throughout India and handles IEEE Xplore training (both onsite and via webinar) and presentations, internal IEEE promotions to include IEEE content within library web pages, intranets and other work-flow applications. He closely works with libraries in universities/technical institutions, students/faculty/researchers in academic, government and corporate sectors and advises effective data use for their endeavors. Dhanu has a masters degree in library and information science and is an engineering graduate. Before joining IEEE, Dhanu was with Science division of Thomson Reuters. Previously, he was Assistant Librarian at PES Institute of Technology, Bangalore, and Content Analyst with the Content Management Development Center of Accenture.
