Dear Friends, We are shocked and upset by the news of Dr.Vengan's Demise. We met Dr.Vengan on our study tour to Chennai in December 2006. We remember him as a nice and enthusiastic person, a brilliant Librarian and a gracious host. He was a devoted Librarian. He gave us a wide range of information on the Madras University Library and the profession in general. With his help we explored the University Library and learnt many things about the place. He was very patient and kind with all of us. We have very fond memories of that day and we can never forget the lavish lunch which Dr. Vengan arranged for us.
