(or equivalent) degree - Good written and oral communication - Familiarity with searching electronic databases, e-journals, and Internet - Good knowledge of cataloguing and classification principles and practices - Use of MS Office and other productivity software - Familiarity with digitization and document formats like HTML and PDF - Familiarity with database packages like MS Access, and CDS/ISIS Job description: Content management of digital library and portal services of NCSI, including e-print archives (http://eprints.iisc.ernet.in/), SciGate information portal (http://www.ncsi.iisc.ernet.in/) and E-Journals Information Service (http://e-jis.ncsi.iisc.ernet.in/), Web and Internet based services, user orientation services and interaction with faculty and students, and assist in the IKM training programme (http://www.ncsi.iisc.ernet.in/training/). These are temporary appointments renewable on a year-to-year basis with a fixed monthly minimum salary of Rs. 6,500/- (and applicable annual increments).
