He holds a BA from UC Berkeley, and MLIS and Ph.D. degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Pyati teaches in the areas of information sources and services; information policy and equity; and social aspects of information and technology. His particular areas of research interest are international library development; information society and policy; globalization, migration, and ICTs; and critical information studies.
