Released Mobile App for Library Services
Dear Professional Friends, Happy to inform you that, the long awaiting and dream project of Library mobile app is finally released and its available for free download at Google Play store. The name of the app is GIT Library https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gitbelgaum.umar.gitlibrary. The mobile app is act like a plug-in and fetching the content from existing Koha automation software using at Library. Keeping into mind that, mobile apps used generally focus on brief interactions of fifteen minutes or less. The GIT Library https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gitbelgaum.umar.gitlibrary app enables the quick view of essential information such as – issued books, fine, reading history, and item search along shelf location. *Features of App* • To check the availability of books. • To identify the actual location of books. • To access your Library account. • To receive push notification for new arrivals of library books · To receive reminder push notification for overdue books. *Technical part of App.* · The size of the app is only 8.1mb · Login with scanning of barcode your ID cards. · For data security point, only students can view their Library account and renew items. · Less consumption of battery and minimum mobile data usage etc. To meet the long lasting demand and requirement of students, the library service is moved towards next level by using mobile technology. Congratulations ! Please let me know how it is different from bootstrap
mobile compatible feature of Koha which provides all the features as you
mentioned in the App? Further, if you have internet access directly you can
access the Koha through browser in a mobile compatible view and avail all
the facility of Koha.
