It is unfortunate that Delhi Govt has downgraded the pay scale of school librarians in all the govt. schools of Delhi (Click the Link give below). Earlier they were getting PB2+4600 which was equivalent to TGTs, but now it is PB2+4200 which is at par with PRTs. Such type of anomalies happens in our profession only. Recently CBSE introduced Library science course in CBSE affiliated schools where Librarians have to teach library science courses to class XI students which means they are doing the job of TGTs (Librarian) and as well as PGTs (Teacher). KVS has re-designated their Librarians as TGT (Library science) which are in the pay scale of PB2+GP4600.
