Vivekanand Library to impart Professional training

Bhopal, Sept 4: After closure of the British Library, Swami Vivekanand Library has started the effort of renovation of other libraries. Keeping this purpose in mind the Library has taken decision to start training programme. This training programme started from Sep 15 has been prepared for students of library Science, Librarians of city. The Librarians working in city will be skilled in whole Library management by this training and will convert its Library to ultramodern Library. Students after getting practical experience from this training will get job in the best libraries of the country. In this training besides subjects related to Library Science training will be given of all modern Library concepts. The training will include Book selection, Book processing, Automation, Books arrangement and maintenance, Counter management, Event management, Customer Care, Marketing of Information product, Media Relations, and IT Management. First time training will be imparted on original software and original database used in Library. While most of the institute of the country imparts training on demo software and proxy database for saving from this risk. Team of four trainers under the leadership of Junior Manager of Library Laxmi Sharan Mishra will prepare trainees. These employees of British Library will trend professionals in the fields of their specialisation. This training will be of one month in which two sessions of 15-15 days will be held. In the beginning 15 days trainees will be given basic training and in later 15 days they will take on job training. After completing this training trainees will be provided certificate from Chairman of Swami Vivekanand Library. At the time of recruitment in this Library in future weightage will be given to persons who have got this training. Those desirous of taking training can send their application anytime in Library. 4 best applicants will be selected for every month. They will have to deposit fixed fee of this training.
