ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE ENGAGEMENT OF LIBRARY TRAINEE: ON CONTRACTUAL APPOINTMENT BASIS (PURELY TEMPORARY) National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM)is a Deemed–to-be university under De-novo category and Autonomous Institution under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India. It has been setup by the Ministry as a Rs. 500 crore (US $125 million) project in a sprawling campus of 100 acres located near Delhi NCR at Kundli, Sonepat Haryana as an apex world class institute of global standards in Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management. The Institute will cater to the needs of various stake holder entrepreneurs, industry, exporters, policy makers, the government and the existing institutions. A multi-level five storey 5474.29 Sqmt State-of-the-ArtNIFTEM Knowledge Centre (Library) is housed in aesthetically designed boat shaped signature building of the NIFTEM campus. NIFTEMinvites Post-Graduates in Library & Information Science from recognized Indian universities to serve as Library Trainee purely on a temporary basis maximum for six months. Remuneration: Selected candidates will be paid a consolidated stipend of Rs. 16,000/- per month. The selected candidates will have to work from Monday-Friday (five days a week) and be ready to work in different shifts and weekends on rotation basis. Essential Qualification & Experiences:Post-graduate in Library & Information Science (M. Lib & Sc.), (Regular Course). Candidate shall have basic knowledge of computer and preferably working knowledge of any library software / open source software.
