Dear Friends Famous Libraries of the World (including LC) are choosing Flickr to post and share Photos on web. Here is an interesting example by British Library. The British Library (see its Flickr Profile - http://www.flickr.com/people/britishlibrary/ ) has a group on Flickr for Ramayana http://www.flickr.com/groups/706670@N20/ . Photos / images submitted to this Flickr Group could appear in their gallery in London and on their Library's website, under the section - Ramayana: Love and Valour in India's Great Epic. http://www.bl.uk/onlinegallery/whatson/exhibitions/ramayana/index.html Isn't this is innovative thinking? Do our libraries think in this way? Or do we think that sites like Flickr, Orkut, Second Live etc are too disruptive for Library Users? --Sukhdev Singh, NIC. -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.
