Pls visit http://www.remoteaccess.ca/ ans click on "ABOUT" icon to get e preview of REMOTE ACCESS: Distant Libraries of the World The show focuses on two 'rural' libraries in Peru and two 'mobile' libraries in Kenya. In Peru there is a library on the Amazon River that serves a large rural community. In the Andes there are over 700 libraries located in the homes of farmers serving that rural area. Kenya uses animals to bring literature and education to the hinterlands. Camels service the eastern provinces while donkeys are the preferred beast-of-burden in the western part of the country.
