Mainly electronic environment and WWW is responsible for this information explosion. In the present situation, to get right information at right time from this heap of information, is very tedious job. To do the job a little easier search engine came into existence. Today information seekers are heavily dependent on these search engines to satisfy their information need. But the problem is, their are several search engines present and most of users do not know how to use them effectively. In this seminar we will discuss on different types of search engine and their working in general, also we will throw some light on the features of good search engine.
