R. Ranganathan (1892-1972) popularly known as the “Father of Library Science” and “World Librarian”, who had spearheaded Library development in India and abroad. Basically this day is celebrated every year on 12th August in India and abroad but because of Eid-ul-fitr and other engagements in Allama Iqbal Library, we are celebrating it on 17th August, 2013.
