It may be interesting to note that we could read all about your solutions from a different computer, as we could not open this particular mail with 'Mozilla FireFox' in the subject line [the worm somehow sensed (!) there's a danger in the offing]. Earlier, we tried MadhureshSinghal's suggestion of pasting the error message in Google and failed, as the application closed immediately. Many thanks once again. It is a big relief now.
