IIHS Internship Program: Call for Applications
Dear Sir/Madam, Kindly post this in the LIS-Forum Internship duration: 1-5 monthsInternship Period: Between November 2015 to March 2016Number of Vacancy : 1 The IIHS Internship Program provides young scholars an interdisciplinary environment of learning by participating in our on-going research and practice projects. IIHS Internships will enable you to learn more about your chosen field, as well as enable you to immersing yourself in other domains in a new vibrant environment of learning and doing. Current requirements are in these specific fields. Other applications will be considered but priority will be given to the following: HousingEnergy Planning for CitiesCourse management for short-term and executive teachingLibrary, Knowledge and Information SystemsCampus Development, Architecture and PlanningCommunications and OutreachWriting and EditorialLegal and RegulationThese are paid internships located in Bangalore. Some internships may be available in Delhi. EligibilityWe are looking for candidates who are committed, willing to learn, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Previous professional work experience and academic coursework in the chosen field will be helpful but is not a requirement to participate in the IIHS internship Program. Ideal candidates will possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate willingness to learn while carrying out a variety of activities as needed. They will be ready to work to meeting deadlines and look to making your contribution meaningful in completing a successful internship with us. Candidates must be currently pursuing or be recent graduates with Masters or PhD degrees in any discipline relevant to the themes outlined above. Candidates applying for internships under the theme-Legal and Regulation must be pursuing or be recent graduates with an undergraduate or Master’s degree in law. Application ProcessThe application process consists of a written submission and interview. The next deadline for applications is November 1st, 2015. All selected candidates will be informed of their selection within 2 weeks after the final scheduled interview.
