Dear all, We are happy to inform about the new release of LibLiveDVD Version 1.7. This release is made available for 64bit machines. The new iso can be downloaded from https://sourceforge.net/projects/liblivecd/files/Version-1.7/liblive-1.7-64b... *In this version of libliveDVD Dspace 6.0, Koha 16.11.06, VuFind 3.1.2 and Drupal 7.54 are added. * All these software are installed, pre-configured on lightweight ubuntu operating system with 16.04.02 LTS version along with other software such as mailserver,ibus, etc. Since Dspace and VuFind uses solr Dspace is configured on different port than 8080. In this version, Dspace is running on 6060 port, Kohaaddmin running on 5001 and Koha OPAC on 5000 port. VuFind can be accessed http://localhost/vufind If this link throws any error then rerun web installation part of Vufind again by using link http://localhost/vufind/install/Home VuFind will only work by importing records from either Koha/Dspace and then only will show some search results. For Dspace only xmlui theme is enabled in /home/dspace/apache-tomcat along with solr. If end user wants to use jspui/oai/sword/rest etc. Pl. Link this folders from /home/dspace/webapps to /home/dspace/apache-tomcat-8.5.15/webapps and restart tomcat. With this version of dspace, new local.cfg configuration is initiated hence many of the configuration in dspace are enabled such as ORCID ID integration, authority control for authors, filter-media etc. is already enabled in this version of DVD. Dspace currently uses Mirage1 but users can also use Mirage2 theme if they wish to use by making change in xmlui.xconf file. Dspace solr can be accessed from http://localhost:6060/solr. Koha version which is added is 16.11.06. Though Version 17.05 is released it is not purposely upgraded as still this version has lot of issues. Users can upgrade with this version may be after few monhts when 17.05 is more stable and bug free. One can change koha repositories either stable/oldstable/unstable by changing file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/koha.list. With this version taking backup from web interface is enabled so it is easy to take backup through webinterface than running command through terminal. Koha is installed through lubuntu packages which will allow users to upgrade Koha with just two commands such as "apt-get update" & "apt-get upgrade koha-common". After installing libliveDVD login to root and upgrade your koha before using it on production machine to have latest version of koha running on your machines as koha brings out new versions almost every fort nightly but before upgrading make sure to install latest stable version if required and which has less bugs. The web installation part of Koha is as well preconfigured in the DVD. Koha can directly be run by logging with user 'koha_library' with password 'library'. Drupal Content Management Open Source Software is added considering the requirements from libraries to create their library websites with dynamic look plus managing variety of content types. Drupal installed version is 7.54. Drush is installed so that it is easy to upgrade Drupal and its dependent modules through drush command. Along with DSpace, Koha, VuFind & Drupal, DVD also contains following server related software pre-installed such as:- Apache2 Web Server, Openssh, ftp Server, MySQL Server, PostGreSQL Server, Dovecot/Exim4 Mail Server, SquirrelMail Web Mail Client, Teamviewer and Minimum desktop environment. To input multilingual data in Dspace/Koha/Drupal, IBus input method is also installed on the DVD. Teamviewer 12 is preinstalled to share desktop for any help, Abiword for editing/reading word documents, gnumeric for using spreadsheets, vim/gedit for text editing and epdfview for reading PDF files, ssh for remote login. Libreoffice and multimedia related software are excluded from the DVD and these can easily be installed by running "System -Tools-Synaptic Package Manager". If the synaptic “reload” does not work try changing repositories links to http://archives.ubuntu.com/ http://archives.ubuntu.com/ubuntu instead of http://in.archives.ubuntu.com/ http://in.archives.ubuntu.com/ubuntu and then search and install any other required software. lUbuntu operating system (Lightweight Operating System) is chosen considering requirements from libraries where libraries have low configuration desktops in their libraries but still wish to initiate their library web sites, initiate library automation, as well as wish to create digital libraries. With old desktops try to install 32bit version of DVD. For newer configurations of machines install 64bit version of the DVD. Please follow proper installation steps to install LibLiveDVD if you wish to have dual boot i.e. windows as well as linux installation on your machines. After installing if the ClickMe option on Desktop does not work still Firefox can be run through Start-Internet-Firefox and then running http://localhost. This error comes only if proper network is not detected automatically by the system after installation. It is also recommended to replace index.html file with your designed webpage when you go live on Internet/Intranet as well as change all passwords in the system from admin to database passwords from security point of view.
