Friends: Please look up http://www.jneurosci.org/cgi/content/full/26/38/9606 for a very interesting and informative article by open access pioneer Paul Ginsparg. You will realise how much scientists are missing by not yet making all their reserach papers open access and how much the progress of science is hindered by the indifference of policy makers who, in spite of much evidence, are not mandating open access for all research papers resulting from publicly-funded research.
