Dear friends I found some following points in New draft of Maharashtra Public University Act 2011 prepared by Dr Arun Nigawekar Committee. We must consider those points seriously On Part 1 page no 37 committee recommend the creation of 1. *Board of lifelong learning,value education and life skill development* *2. Center for Lifelong Learning, Value Education & Longevity Skills Development (CELIVE).* *The drafting committee feels importance of lifelong learning but in that draft they did not mention the librarians role in lifelong learning.* We must resist their thinking and proved them that librarians teaching Information literacy which is soul of lifelong learning must have adequate share in Board of lifelong learning,value education and life skill development & Centre for Lifelong Learning, Value Education & Longevity Skills Development.
