On the occasion of the National Science Day on 28 February 2015 (Saturday), the National Science Library, New Delhi in collaboration with RRRLF, Ministry of Culture is organizing a one day seminar on “Indian Science Books”. Noted science authors and leading LIS professionals including Prof. Yash Pal, Dr. T Sikandar, Dr. Jagdish Arora, Prof. S Arunachalam, Prof. B K Sen, Dr. N V Satyanarayana, Dr. Arun Chakraborty, Mr. Pallava Bagla, Dr. Dinesh C Sharma, Mr. Biman Basu, Mr. Subhash Lakhera, Dr. Sukanaya Datta and others would be speaking on the following topics: Future of science books in the digital era Open Access and Indian Science Books Science Books: Inspiring a Generation Investigative Book Writing Managing E-Books in libraries e-Content Development Bengali Indian Science Books: A Historical Account हिंदी विज्ञान लेखन : विश्व परिपेक्ष्य में Content, quality and reach of popular science books Science fiction books - A dying art Interested LIS-Forum Members are welcome to participate in the seminar.
