Advanced Training programme on Bibliometrics and Research Output Analysis during 18 - 22 July 2022

Dear Sir/ Madam, INFLIBNET is organizing a five days *Advanced Training programme on Bibliometrics and Research Output Analysis *during *18 - 22 July 2022*. The programme will provide the participants a sound overview of bibliometric methods, data sources, data processing, performance indicators and tools & techniques related to bibliometric analysis and mapping. It will provide awareness about the most commonly used database*s*, how to build -up relevant indicators and how to interpret the data. Special emphasis will be given to indicators used in research evaluation. Theoretically imparted knowledge will be consolidated with demonstration on various tools such as Bibliometrix, Biblioshiny, VOSviewer, etc *Major Topics* *Following topics will be covered in the workshop: * v Overview of Bibliometrics v Bibliometrics Elements and Laws v Mathematical Foundation of Bibliometrics/ Scientometrics v Bibliometrics Tools and Techniques such as Bibliometrix, Biblioshiny, VOSviewer, etc. v Bibliometric Methods for Subject Delineation v Measuring Research Impact v Advanced Bibliometric Methods for Evaluation, Ranking and Mapping of Research v Bibliometric Indicators and Rankings of University Research Performance v Clarivate Analytics’ Web of Science and Elsevier’s Scopus Databases v Altmetrics *Resource Persons* The lecturers are prominent researchers, scientists/professors in the field of bibliometrics. They also have extensive experience with the application of bibliometric analysis in a research evaluation. *Target Participants* Library and information professionals, information scientists and students can apply for registration. A maximum of 25-30 candidates will be selected for the training programme on a First-Come-First-Serve basis. *Duration* Five Days (*18 - 22 July 2022*) *Venue* The Workshop will be conducted in Offline Mode at Information and Library Network Centre, Infocity, Gandhinagar382007, Gujarat, India. *Workshop Fee* The registration fee is Rs. 6,000.00 (Rupees Six Thousand only) per person without accommodation and Rs. 10,000.00 (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) with accommodation which is inclusive of GST rates. It covers the cost of a training programme kit containing training materials and lunch during the training period. The payment should be made through Demand Draft in favour of INFLIBNET Centre payable at Gandhinagar along with filled-in registration form. Fee is non-refundable and non-adjustable. The Centre also accepts payment by NEFT /RTGS for the workshop. The bank account details will be shared on request. *Accommodation* The Centre will arrange accommodation including breakfast and dinner during the period of training at INFLIBNET Guest House (A/C Room) on twin sharing basis. The participants must send prior intimation and charges for accommodation along with registration fees.
