Pramati - MyLISA Workshop at Mysore
Dear Friends, I am happy to inform that Pramati Hillview Academy, Mysore in collaboration with Mysore Librarians and Information Scientists Association (MyLISA) organised a seminar on "Computerization of School Libraries" on November 18, 2013. The Workshop was a part of "National Week Celebrations" by the Pramati School. Twenty five school librarians from in and around Mysore attended the workshop. The workshop gave hands-on experience on e-granthalaya software of NIC. The technical director from NIC Smt. Manimozhi Udayanan was the resource person who gave the training to the participants on various modules like Acquisitions, Circulation, Cataloguing, and OPAC. The installation of the software was also taught. Earlier, the workshop was inaugurated by Smt. Manimozhi Udayanan. Speaking on the occasion she emphasized the need for initiating automation work at gross root levels like school. Sri Nagaraja S., President of MyLISA explained the activities of MyLISA. Sri S. Paniraj, Treasurer from Pramati School presided over the function. Dr. N.S. Harinarayana, MyLISA Secretary was present and talked about the workshop. Sri. Sudarshan, Principal proposed vote of thanks. The coordinator of the workshop Smt. Vanishree welcomed the gathering.
