Dear Professionals, Raman Research Institute invites applications for a Library Trainee (ONE) post. Job Description: The program offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience and practical knowledge in various library functions, encompassing a wide range of operations such as acquiring content (both print and digital), classification, cataloging, organizing information resources, document delivery services, digital information services, research support, processing research publications, managing research data, designing and developing information systems and services, and web-based information services, among others. Remuneration: A consolidated remuneration of Rs. 31,000 per month will be paid to the selected candidate. Essential Qualifications: The candidate must have a regular Master of Library and Information Science (MLISc) and a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university. The candidate should have secured a minimum of 60% or equivalent in both degrees. Only those who have completed MLISc in 2023 and 2024 are eligible to apply. Desirable: The candidate should have excellent technical and communication skills. Upper Age Limit: The upper limit is 30 years as on the last date for closing of applications. The last date for receipt of applications is 03rd March 2025. Applications received after the last date will not be considered. Selection Procedure: A written test may be conducted only to shortlist candidates, and the final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the interview.
