I do agree with Dr K C Garg.The prime concern of every education system shoud be to ensure quality output.While there is limited seat in the central universities/state universities/DRTC/NISCAIR.etc the same is not true about the Open Learning Programme. Besides, LIS being more or less a practical oriented discipline due emphasis be given on the availability of quality infrastructures, best faculties,etc.MHRD(Deptt of Higher Education) must take initiatives in this direction.Maintaing some stringent criteria on LIS education in both mode regular and correspondece, will definitely result in quality output.
