Museums around the world provide the platform to quench our thirst of primeval curiosity. From the beginning of the documented history, humans collected objects which define their surrounding society and environment. As an effect of this collecting and conserving nature, private collection and later museum came into the picture. Museum houses variety of artifacts and objects of artistic, cultural, historical or scientific importance. Museums aim to serve the various communities ranging from researchers and specialist to the general public. The main objective of this colloquium is to provide a peripheral view of museum, museum technologies and the collaboration between libraries and museums. We will also discuss about virtual museums and the overall challenges.
