ICLAM2014 : Call for Papers

All LIS professionals are invited to submit papers or presentations to ICLAM 2014, an international LIS conference that is unique in so many ways: Ø For the first time a LIS conference in India invites you to share your experiences about Jugaad, a form of innovation (also known as Frugal Innovation), you engage in almost everyday in your library/organisation to serve the users better. Ø For the first time you have the freedom to submit a presentation without a paper or a full paper on multiple aspects of innovation including Jugaad. Ø In ICLAM 2014 you do not submit a traditional poster but a video that will be uploaded to Youtube. Ø ICLAM 2014 is truly inter-disciplinary - professionals from libraries, archives, museums and other cultural institutions; and non-professional enthusiasts for learning from any field are invited to attend and actively participate in ICLAM 2014. The conference being inter-disciplinary the boundaries of disciplines simply do not matter. There are many other interesting features of ICLAM 2014. Few important details about the Conference : The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in collaboration with the Government Information and Official Publications section of the International Federation of Library Associationsand Institutions (IFLA) will organize the second international conference of the series titled International Conference on the Convergence of Libraries, Archives and Museums (ICLAM) from 27th to 29th November, 2014 at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), New Delhi. As in the past, ICLAM will offer the library professionals an opportunity to exchange ideas with professionals from archives, museums and various other domains. ICLAM 2014 aims to foster a spirit of innovation among all the professionals of the knowledge sector in order to attain the goal of long-term preservation of the collective memory of mankind. Apart from Library and Information professionals, Archivists and Conservators, experts drawn from the diverse fields of Management, Information Technology, Education and Governance from all over the world will be invited to present their perspectives.
