Launch of DORA’s Introductory Course on Responsible Research Assessment
Dear colleagues, DORA is excited to announce the launch of a new resource: an Introductory Course on Responsible Research Assessment (RRA)! This free, online, self‑paced course is designed to empower individuals from all countries, career stages, and disciplines to understand why research assessment matters and how they can contribute to strengthening it. Through practical insights, examples, and foundational concepts, the course equips participants to support fairer and more effective ways of evaluating research and researchers. The course aims to help learners challenge existing assumptions around research quality and impact. Learners will gain practical tools and strategies to understand, advocate for, and implement RRA, covering topics from the core definition of RRA to the pitfalls of traditional assessment practices.
