Dear Friends I thank all the Librarian fraternity of Bangalore for having supported the cause of *“Walk to the book – March to the Library”. *I was overwhelmed by the support extended by all of you specially the younger Librarian friends made this event a grand success. This gives us a message that, we the professional Associations are lacking in organizing and using the young librarians for the professional activities. I along with my other sister Association office bearers shall take this message seriously and start working jointly for the common cause of the profession. In the next years to come we shall make it as a festival of Librarians and create and awareness among the public at large. I thank all those (Professional Associations’ office bearers) who worked meticulously and were responsible for the success of this march. I request all the Librarian friends to come forward and enroll your membership to *KARNATAKA LIBRARY ASSOCIATION (KALA) *and attend the general body meeting of the KALA in a big number.
