We will not be able to make them understand about the requirement of Library Information Science Professionals in Managing any Library Network. It is also not possible for us to show our skills and ability if the other side do have some blind person. I think, the library associations could have some mass movement in this regards. Dear Library Professionals,

It is a very shocking news that a Non-Library person appointed as the Director of INFLIBNET Centre.

This is a very unscientific decision to manage a Library Network by non-librarian.

Though the essential qualification for the post is that the person from relevant field, the appointed person is from Statistics, which is not the relevant field.

It is the prime duty and responsibility of all library professionals and associations to intimate the authorities the damage may create to the profession and also to the academics and R&D at large by the decision.

How a Non-Medicine man can do treatment and surgery. A computer man can establish physical network, but can not manage knowledge and library and provide knowledge services scientifically and effectively.
